Hope for Miami’s Project Bridge partnered with the University of Miami to host an interactive mental health experience on campus called “Hope Bridge - A Youth Mental Health Exhibit.” This event was designed to raise awareness of behavioral health conditions and give ideas on how to access treatment and ideas on coping skills. Thanks to the NAMI Club on campus, the event was popular with the university students, as more than 270 students attended. We want to thank Alexis Scherago, who has been an intern with Project Bridge for the past few months, for her assistance in setting up the details of the event. Here’s what Alexis had to say:
"I’m incredibly proud to have been part of the team that brought the Hope Bridge exhibit to life. Planning and executing this event was a deeply rewarding experience, and it was inspiring to see its impact on so many students. From the interactive simulations to the calming activities, every element was designed to educate, engage, and provide a space for students to connect with mental health resources. The overwhelming response and positive feedback truly speak to the need for these types of events. It’s an honor to be part of the HFM team, working alongside incredible partners like NAMI and Heel 2 Heal to make a real difference in the mental health conversation on campus."
